Linda Whittemore became an artist to express the world around her. Living on Maui, she spends time in her studio creating images of the island’s surroundings which are a constant source of inspiration.
Linda’s training as a printmaker began in the print studio of Margaret
Bedell (her mother). She also attended classes from a young age at the Laguna
Beach School of Art in Laguna Beach, California. In 2002, Linda earned a B.A.
degree from University of Hawai'i. Over the years, Linda has had the opportunity
to study with Roger Folk, Hiroki Morinoue, Roger Armstrong, Chris Nugent and
other fine artists.
Sought after by collectors, Linda’s unique abstract monoprints result
from of a finely tuned artistic sense combined with passion to continually
explore
new themes and styles.
